There is no such thing as a comfort zone. There is no such thing as a perfect alibi for not living one’s life. There is no such thing as bad timing, bad romance, bad beginning or bad end.
There is no such thing as a bad step forward. There is no such thing as a bad second, third and forth time. There is no such thing as a bad break-up.
There is no such thing as a faithful day.
I don’t believe in bad things. I don’t believe in faith nor destiny. I cling and shiver to the smiles, the blushes, the moment in which one feels embarrassed or in pain. I love papercuts because they’re stupid, small yet perfect reminders that one is alive. The slight smile you receive from someone when you smile at them on the street, the awkward moment in which they look away when you make eye contact, the first time you touch, the second time you touch, the unnumbered time you touch for it is a collection of moments that make that small thing called … life.
Tears are but a part of it. Laughter is but a part of it.
You and I are nothing but a small asterisk on a certain page in a certain volume in that book called life. We are nothing yet we are everything to each other. We are the exception and the confirmation of the rule, that rule, our rule.
We are not in love, we are somewhat slightly more than that. We may live without each other but the memory shall never abandon our minds and souls. We are that abnormality they shunned.
We are that little part that saw the earth was round. We see that ‘we’ does not involve two people. We see that ‘together’ does not mean constantly attached to one another. We live freely and love madly. We live by passion and know not the fears that others have. We have trust. Trust that we shall have ours for the briefest of moments and it will be more that sufficient. You are the oxford comma of my skin and I am the double spacing in your ears. I shall never say It Is I, for you shall always know it. We shall never say goodbye for if we meet in any number of years we shall be equally immersed in it.
I know it. You know it.
For the time being we are… We are.
